The required height of a high jump bar varies depending on the level of competition and age group. In international competition, the men's high jump bar is set at a minimum of 1.94 meters (6 feet 4.5 inches) and the women's high jump bar is set at a minimum of 1.76 meters (5 feet 9.25 inches). In youth and high school competitions, the bar heights may be lower.
