What are the different levels of WCAG compliance?

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provide three different levels of compliance to measure the accessibility of web content. These levels are:

1. Level A: This is the minimum level of compliance. Meeting Level A means that the most basic requirements for accessibility have been fulfilled. It ensures that users with disabilities can access the information presented on the website.

2. Level AA: Meeting Level AA means that the website has satisfied a more significant portion of accessibility requirements. It includes Level A requirements and additional criteria that enhance the accessibility of the website. This level of compliance is what most organizations aim for to ensure a higher level of accessibility for users with disabilities.

3. Level AAA: This is the highest level of compliance achievable, going beyond basic and enhanced accessibility requirements. Meeting Level AAA indicates that the website has fulfilled all Level A and Level AA criteria, as well as additional advanced requirements. This level of compliance provides the most inclusive and accessible experience for users with disabilities.

It's important to note that while Level AA compliance is the most commonly targeted level, it may not be feasible for all websites to achieve Level AAA compliance due to the complexity and resource requirements involved.
