When did the Beaux-Arts style become popular?

The Beaux-Arts style became popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It originated in France in the 1830s and gained prominence in the United States in the late 19th century, especially with the construction of prominent buildings for the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. The style continued to be popular until around the 1920s when it began to be replaced by other architectural movements such as Art Deco and Modernism.
