What is the architecture of the wall of Ávila?

The wall of Ávila has a medieval defensive architecture, with a height of 12 meters (39 feet), an average thickness of 3 meters (9.8 feet), and a total length of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). It has 88 semicircular towers, nine gates, and three secondary doors. The towers are different in size, with the largest ones being located in the four corners of the wall. The wall was built using granite blocks and features crenellations on the top, allowing soldiers to shoot arrows and throw stones at their enemies. The wall also includes a moat that was filled with water to protect the city from invaders.
