A Pareto front, also known as Pareto frontier or Pareto set, refers to the set of optimal solutions in a multi-objective optimization problem. In other words, it is the set of solutions that cannot be improved in one objective without sacrificing another objective. The solutions on the Pareto front are considered to be equally optimal since they are non-dominated by each other. The Pareto front is named after Vilfredo Pareto, who introduced the concept of Pareto optimality in economics. The concept has since been widely used in the fields of engineering, mathematics, and operations research.
