What is the Problem-Based Learning?

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an educational approach that involves students in a process of inquiry, problem-solving, and reflective thinking. In PBL, students are presented with authentic, complex, and multidisciplinary problems to solve, rather than being taught through traditional lectures and textbooks.

The process of PBL typically involves the following steps:

1. Identifying a complex and authentic problem that is relevant to the students' lives and interests.

2. Conducting research and inquiry to gather information about the problem.

3. Working in groups to analyze and interpret the information collected and identify potential solutions.

4. Developing and implementing a plan of action to solve the problem.

5. Reflecting on the learning process and evaluating the effectiveness of the solutions.

The goal of PBL is to help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, as well as to enhance their motivation and engagement in the learning process.
