The Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certification is a sustainability certification program developed by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. It evaluates products and materials based on five categories: material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness. Products and materials that meet certain criteria in each category can be awarded a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum certification. The certification program promotes the concept of a circular economy where waste is eliminated and materials are constantly reused and regenerated.
